Sporting Spectrum delivers Record Breaking Mothers Day Classic
Sunday 11th May 2008: The sun shone across both The Domain Sydney and Parramatta Park for the 11th annual Mothers Day Classic, in supports of the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Sporting Spectrum has delivered the event on behalf of Women In Super since 1999 in the Domain. Due to the overwhelming growth of The Domain event, the 8km and the 4km run events oversubscribed for the past 3 years, with growing numbers at the Parramatta Park event in its second year. Participation levels at both venues exceeded expectations of all stakeholders, breaking 12,000 participants across Sydney.
The Mothers Day Classic has enjoyed strong growth over its 11 years in Sydney – the first event drawing just over 2,000 participants.
